ohal (part of WPP Group Plc) specialises in statistical analysis for prestigious marketing and media planning clients. We operate in a range of markets including fast-moving consumer goods, retailing, finance, drink and household goods. Our services include return on investment, advertising effectiveness, media planning, pricing, promotions, testing and forecasting.
Working at ohal
Each year we recruit graduates and postgraduates to train as Econometric Marketing Analysts. Recruits quickly become active members of a project team building econometric models that are used to explain sales performance, forecast sales and to run ‘what if?’ scenarios.
Working at ohal provides a range of opportunities:
- ability to build upon and apply academic skills in a practical, commercial environment
- interpretation of results – just as important as the statistics
- experience client decisions being made as a direct result of your analysis
- direct involvement with clients and ongoing consultancy.
All in a young informal and supportive ‘can do’ environment.
Joining ohal
The skills and attitudes of our people are vital to ohal’s success. An initial induction course is followed by on-the-job experience. Ongoing training is then provided through internal seminars and a personal development programme. Continuous training ensures that new trainees receive the necessary support and instruction to quickly achieve Analyst status.
Progression, based on merit, can be rapid, and taking responsibility is encouraged. A typical career path is as follows:
Trainee Marketing Analyst - Analyst - Senior Analyst and, for some, further progression is possible: Project Manager - Associate Director - Managing Partner
