I came to Mott MacDonald’s York office as a graduate electrical engineer after completing my BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Leeds. Prior to this I gained an advanced diploma in engineering at Inti College, Penang, Malaysia.

Since joining Mott MacDonald I have been gaining experience through the MM Professional Development Scheme (IET accredited). This has included working on National Grid substation development and design projects such as protection systems, fault calculations, equipment layouts, and some project management responsibilities.

My colleagues are very friendly. They helped me to settle in when I first moved to York and they continue to offer me valuable assistance in my ongoing career development.

As the Secretary of the York office sports and social club I have helped to organise and also participated in events such as clay pigeon shooting, gliding lessons and a dragon boat race.
