Other firms promise you a lot after you qualify. At Moore Stephens we can promise you a lot before you qualify as well. We are a fast-growing, medium-sized firm of accountants and business advisers with the emphasis very much on business advice.
Your clients
As well as a broad client portfolio, our business strategy is to be ‘the best in our chosen markets’, and these include shipping, insurance, private clients, property and construction and the financial and public sectors. An important difference between us and larger firms is that since our clients are that bit smaller, you will deal with more of them over your three years and develop a very broad understanding of their business rather than just their books.
Your exams
You may have passed all your exams to date with flying colours, but this is no guarantee of success at the chartered accountancy exams. For our part we provide the best financial and moral support we can to help you pass first time. Your tutors will be on hand to deliver the training and iron out any problems on a one-to-one basis. Even the other trainees in your year will provide support in and out of the classroom. However, it will be your commitment to apply yourself and to juggle the demands of work, study and social life that will ultimately determine exam success.
Your development
Running alongside your external exam training is an internal programme of courses which seeks to develop your business, personal and technical skills. Sessions range from money laundering to presentation skills and from business simulations to corporate law.
Your prospects
Qualification gives every accountant some breathing space to consider their future. Those who stay with us are encouraged to pursue partnership, enjoying secondments and further training on their way. Many who leave return later in their careers as staff or clients or are happy to refer others to us. This is testament to the Moore Stephens difference.
