Why choose Ipsos MORI?

I became aware of Ipsos MORI through my studies and the media – its topical analysis and prominence in politics and social policy had always impressed me. While interning in a Westminster thinktank, my boss suggested I apply.

Have my qualifications helped ?

Trainees come from a range of academic backgrounds. My studies have definitely shaped my ability to analyse and communicate information, but I’d say my work experience after graduating has delivered the most benefits.

Any other requirements?

Having a genuine interest in research and public opinion certainly helps. Frequent contact with both senior staff and external clients, means that a level of enthusiasm will always help in forming good impressions.

Training

As well as the graduate training programme, there are regular training sessions , business area presentations and external seminars. A lot of learning is gained on the job, and the flat structure here means experienced staff are very approachable and are happy to pass on their knowledge. Employees are encouraged to take on projects and roles which will develop their skills and suit their interests, so I am confident that I will have a fulfilling career here.

Enjoyable projects

I’ve been lucky to work on some great projects, one that stands out is a thought piece which compares political and social attitudes in Europe and the US. I learnt a lot working with experienced colleagues, and it was released at our annual summer conference.
