The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) is the world’s first professional accountancy body and the first to adopt the designation ‘Chartered Accountant’. The letters ‘CA’ can still only be used in the by members of ICAS.
We’ve been training CAs for 150 years and are highly regarded throughout the world for consistency, high standards and ethical practice. While we are ‘The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland’, our influence extends far beyond, reaching European and International stages.

GETTING STARTED
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t studied accountancy or business before. All you need is a university degree or an international degree formally recognised as a equivalent.
To qualify as a CA you must apply for a three-year training contract with an organisation that ICAS has authorised to train ICAS students.
