At Norwich Union, we’re proud to be the UK’s number one insurance organisation. Both our Insurance and Life divisions are the UK’s biggest in their fields, making up a significant proportion of the Aviva organisation - the fifth biggest insurance group in the world.

Our main activities are long-term savings, fund management and general insurance. We have premium income and investment sales of £49.2 billion and £359 billion of funds under management. Our 57,000 employees serve around 45 million customers in 30 countries around the world.

Fund Management

Our reputation as a leading international fund manager is very important to us. Hundreds of billions of worldwide assets under management makes us a serious player. But we’re not satisfied. Our expert in-house teams aim to generate superior investment results for shareholders, policyholders and institutional clients. We’re number two in the UK, top five in Ireland and have other high-performance businesses in France, Netherlands and Australia.

General Insurance

This arm of the business aims to deliver quality, sustainable earnings from the market-leading positions we have developed in personal insurance. This is all built on rigorous cost control, rock solid underwriting, top notch customer service and a pioneering product portfolio. Our success gives us the enviable platform we need to strengthen our relationships with customers and the opportunity to expand our range of propositions.

We are number one in the UK and Ireland, number two in Canada and top five in the Netherlands.

Life business

At Norwich Union Life we provide outstanding high-quality products, services, processes and communications. The competition’s fierce and the industry is forever changing, but we’re consistently in a leading position because of the quality of what we produce.
