The Government Statistical Service is involved in all aspects of government policy, delving into the details to establish the statistical pros and cons behind some of the most important questions facing society today.

You’ll develop your expertise by undertaking a series of postings in a range of government departments or agencies and sometimes even overseas. These postings, usually lasting between 12 and 18 months, will help you sharpen your technical, managerial and statistical communication skills.

In the long term, you’ll find yourself with access to more statistician career options than you would anywhere else (just one of the benefits of working for the UK’s largest employer of statisticians).
