After graduating from University of Southern Denmark with a Bachelor in Economics and Master of Science in IT I was interested in joining a big financial player.

Starting out with very little knowledge of the reinsurance world, I soon discovered it to be a fascinating area to work in and Swiss Re to be a company with a lot to offer in terms of knowledge and opportunities to develop. As participant in the International Graduate Program (IGP) I get the opportunity to meet people across the organization and also have the unique opportunity to do a job rotation.

I initially joined the Global IT Business Partner Financial Services initially in the Business and Information Exploitation team. My main task is to work on further shaping and conceptualizing the reporting landscape. In October 2005 I moved to the Business Engineering team, where I took over the project management and business analysis responsibility for a Web Reporting tool.

Swiss Re’s international culture mix of people with a very broad variety of backgrounds has also contributed to making this a positive experience. I have found Swiss Re to be a challenging employer that makes high professional demands on its staff and one that, given its operations in many different business segments and countries, offers a lot of opportunities in return.
