There’s a staggering difference in the size of our authorities, from 39,000 employees in Essex County Council down to just 227 in Rochford. Of course both ends of the spectrum offer something different, with a smaller authority the scope of your role is often far greater than in a bigger council for example. In terms of location all of our councils are an easy commute from London. But, with Stanstead Airport and the Port of Harwich within our boundaries you could come from even further afield! Finally, as a place to live as well as work, Essex is just as impressive.
