Through a series of placements (over 18–24 months) you’ll be given a broad introduction to logistics and managing people, from warehousing to transport, project work to planning – and you’ll have a direct impact on the way we do business.

Support and development

At Gist we believe that for our graduates to reach and exceed their potential, the support and development we provide must be second to none – which is why we have developed a programme which is structured and yet still provides the flexibility for us to tailor it to your individual needs:

• Buddy system: from the moment you are offered a position on our graduate scheme you will be allocated one of our ex-graduates as a ’buddy’ – to provide information / support and answer any of the questions you may have.
• Mentor program: your mentor will be a senior manager within the business, and will give you overall support and guidance throughout the programme and beyond to help you maximise your experiences with Gist.
• Board-level sponsor: all our graduates are allocated a member of the board of directors to oversee their career from a high level.
• On- and off-the-job training: the Accelerate scheme provides graduates with a balance of both on- and off-the-job learning to develop their technical, interpersonal and leadership skills.
