With over 158,000 people working in 49 countries, Accenture is one of the world’s leading management consulting, technology services and outsourcing organisations.
We help our clients become high-performance businesses by delivering innovation and our work invariably involves the application of information technology to business challenges.
We’re helping transform Warner Bros into one of the first studios in the world to move its film and television, production, post production and distribution to an entirely digital end-to-end process. We helped Thomas Cook transform their vast, and diverse, decentralized business operations into a new streamlined shared services operating model - at a speed they described as “phenomenal”. And we brought mobile phone services to the developing world, allowing rural communities to reap the social and economic benefits of communication for the first time.
Why Accenture
We believe that Accenture offers great opportunities for graduates, partly because of the work we do, and partly because learning and personal development are so high on our agenda. Perhaps this is why we have been consistently voted one of the leading graduate employers in “The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers”. There is a surprisingly close-knit feel to working at Accenture and from the day you start, you begin to build informal networks that provide help and support throughout your career.
You control your own development and promotion is based entirely on the skills you acquire and the contribution you make, whilst flexible working programmes allow you to manage your schedule to suit you. We also actively encourage people to get involved in community and charitable activities that make a real difference to communities across the UK and around the world.
What will I be doing?
Whether you know exactly what you’re looking for - or would like to explore all the options available - our graduate programme offers the flexibility and exposure to get the most out of your skills.
Analyst Consulting Group
Most of our graduates join this group and learn core consulting skills across a variety of projects for clients in all sectors, which makes it a great place to build the foundations of your consulting career. Here you will learn to apply management consulting, systems integration and technology to gain a commercial advantage. So you could find yourself preparing business proposals, redesigning business processes, preparing people for change, designing applications and implementing new technologies. You’ll also learn how to make use of and deploy the world’s leading software packages, such as SAP and Oracle.
There are also opportunities to work in a particular area. In our Systems Integration & Technology Consulting Group, you could be part of a team delivering world class technical solutions, working on projects involving technical development and architecture or specialising in a particular area such as JAVA programming. Alternatively, in our Management Consulting Group, you could be part of our Strategy Consulting team - focusing your energies on bringing about organisational change and business transformation for our clients. And finally, we have some opportunities in our Outsourcing function, where graduates will work in small, close-knit teams on longer-term assignments to manage large-scale outsourcing projects.
Whatever area of our business you choose to explore, you can be assured you’ll be working with (and learning from) the best.
