Why have you chosen Indesit over other employers?

Indesit Company is a very diverse company, with three very powerful brands in the UK and Europe. The Indesit Company Graduate Programme offered me the flexibility and diversity I wanted for my first job, luckily I found the right job first time.

Experience

I joined Indesit Company fresh from university. In the first 6 months I was pushed continually to develop my skills in marketing and generally in my professional career.

My first role with the Cannon brand was a challenge from the word "go". It tested my decision-making, problem solving, creativity andorganisational skills helping to make me a more rounded individual whilst honing my marketing communication skills.

My first role within Indesit Company was with Cannon communications. Cannon is a great brand with a prestigious heritage amongst the "foodie" crowd. It involved recruiting and looking after our celebrity chefs John Burton Race and Tony Tobin, creating recipe books, organising reader events for press coverage plus organising consumer events such as an exhibition stand at the BBC Good Food Show in the NEC. The role involved small and large scale project management, teaching me to multitask and prioritise constantly.

My present role as the Indesit Marketing Communications Manager involves much more. Indesit consumers are outdoors and active so my role is fun with some quite different challenges. Day-to-day may include proof-reading press releases on our latest products, organising a 6 months free Ariel promotion with a specific customer, agreeing on the TV/Press strategy with Central Marketing in Milan, to arranging an event debrief and evaluation. With this role the stakeholders are the most important part of my job, keeping our field sales, training teams, customers and consumers up to date with the Indesit brand and where we are taking it next.

Job Support

From day one I started in the Indesit Company whirlwind learning as I took up challenge after challenge. During the Graduate Programme I have received a lot of support from my marketing colleagues and guidance from HR. I have been on a number of internal courses, such as presentation skills and external courses, such as my chartership exams. This structured learning has been coupled with on the job training to give me a firm understanding of all our products, customers, our channels and our end consumers. The best advice I ever received was if you want more responsibility, all you have to do is ask!

Summary

Indesit Company has a real multicultural feel and in addition is an exciting place to work, as people are energetic and motivated to deliver excellence. Indesit Company is keen to invest in the development of its people by providing support in attaining professional qualifications and chartered memberships, as appropriate.
