WorleyParsons is a young and diversified engineering and project management company serving the oil and gas, minerals and metals and infrastructure industries.
With multi-million dollar projects across the world, 14,000 people work out of major hub offices in London, Australia, the USA, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Our work is involved with all aspects of project development, from conceptual design through development and detailed design to full construction management.
What do we require?
We need Honours graduates and postgraduates with the desire not only to become professionally qualified in their chosen discipline, but to develop into general management and become our future leaders. High levels of responsibility come at an early age, and self-reliance, initiative and a flexible attitude are essential qualities. Most of our projects are constructed overseas, and many in severe environments. A willingness to travel, and possibly live abroad, is a prerequisite.
This is not an industry for the faint-hearted. It is full of challenges that no degree will have prepared you for, but we will. Getting to the top is not easy, but with us it can be done. In short, we require energy, intellectual rigor, tenacity and a hunger for knowledge outside of your discipline.
What do we offer?
Graduates undertake a two- to three-year training and development programme that aims to prepare for professional qualifications and to give a broad grounding in all other aspects of our business. Every graduate has a personal mentor. We believe that training is a two-way process. Graduates are expected to share their experiences and knowledge gained at regular presentations, and they are encouraged to become actively involved in our global graduate community.
We have established a Graduate Development Organisation which is run and managed by our graduates. It was established to create a culture by which graduates direct and take responsibility for their own development through the Graduate Development Programme, facilitating their own progression to chartered status. With its own structure and annual budget it is a voice for the graduate community, providing regular input to Company strategy.
Career progression is based on ability, and it can be swift and challenging.
