Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to research on the causes, treatment and prevention of cancer. We support the work of over 4,500 scientists, doctors and nurses working across the UK. Our annual scientific spend is more than £300 million, which is raised almost entirely through public donations.

Every Spring, Summer and Autumn, Cancer Research UK offers a number of internships to high-calibre individuals looking to gain work experience in the fields of fundraising, marketing, communications and campaigning.

Whether you are an underrgraduate, graduate or someone who is looking to change career paths, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills at one of the UK’s leading charities.

Although the internships are voluntary placements and therefore unpaid, travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed. We will also provide you with training to enhance your own personal development, as well as advice on how to get a job within the charity sector.

Your benefits
You will be given real work to do on a project that will make a difference to the charity. We will also provide you with a thorough induction to Cancer Research UK, as well as extra training on CV writing and interview techniques.

Our requirements
You need to be a strategic thinker, numerate and literate and also have excellent PC skills. You will need to be a confident communicator and be able to take the initiative in carrying out work and research. Please consult the role profile of each internship to confirm specific requirements.

We will judge you on your most recent academic achievement, as well as work or voluntary experience.

How to apply
Applications for our Spring 2010 Internships open in late November. Please visit the website for more information.
