Airbus is one of the world’s leading companies for the design and manufacture of aircraft. With the new double-deck A380 recently entering service, and design and development work well advanced on the new A350 XWB (extra-wide body), which is due to enter service in 2013, cutting edge innovation and technology is vital for uncompromising, environmentally-responsible, 21st Century aircraft designs.
Forecasts of strong, continued growth in air travel and high demand for civil aircraft in the decades ahead, mean Airbus offers exciting challenges for talented men and women in engineering and customer facing roles to join a vibrant business; helping to continue to push the boundaries and to create an exciting, sustainable, eco-efficient future for civil aviation.
Our requirements
Opportunities available to graduates are mostly in design and manufacturing engineering, with further roles in procurement, supply chain logistics, finance, human resources, operations management and customer services.
Your development
Open-minded and customer focused graduates will enjoy the chance to develop their talents and experience on the Airbus UK Direct Entry Graduate Scheme(DEG). The scheme develops detailed knowledge of a business function through structured placements in the UK and Europe, with strategic partners, customers and suppliers. Though the programme format is consistent, individual programmes can depend on the function joined, experience, interests and current business challenges. Through the scheme and beyond you will have access to excellent, focused training and support to help you achieve membership of professional institutions, further qualifications and long-term career planning. Involvement in education and community projects to broaden experience and skills is encouraged.
Opportunities and benefits
Alongside the excellent training, you will receive an attractive starting salary, annual salary review and membership of a company pension scheme. Flexible working arrangements are available and you will receive additional allowances when working away from your ‘home base’. The DEG scheme provides the opportunity to work for an international organisation that constantly strives to challenge conventional wisdom, to harness the power of the latest technology and turn vision into reality.
