Carlo joined PwC in the Philippines but jumped at the chance to move to London in 2004. “I wanted to broaden my experience by working in other countries and knew the London offices are some of the biggest with a huge range of clients and some really varied, challenging work. PwC are always keen for people with good experience to move offices. Sharing different perspectives and areas of knowledge is important for our success and keeps everyone fresh.”

Since relocating, Carlo’s been inspired to pass on the benefit of his experience to others. “I’ve become a Career Coach to five people, helping them pin point areas for development, get on the right courses and, of course, giving them first-hand advice on secondments. The Global Mobility Team were great when I moved here. They helped me find accommodation and settle in; while the Buddy system and social events made sure I quickly found my way around and knew who was who.”

Carlo’s also enthusiastic about promoting the many career options within Assurance. “One of the things I’ve been involved with is a game that’s been rolled out to all third-year associates across the country. It’s like a ‘choose your own adventure’ game that helps participants select the activities and opportunities that best fit their specific interests and hear real experiences from real people. The whole point is to highlight the fact you need never feel restricted here.”
