The companies we work alongside want to ensure they are recruiting a diverse work force; therefore we assist them to recruit high calibre students with a disability to help them meet this aim. Our candidates go through the same assessment process, however, adjustments will be made as and where necessary.

Each Year there are 10-20 internship places available per company within the Investment Banking sector. Places are available within the following areas; Investment Banking/Management, Global Transaction Services, Equity Sales and Trading Operations, Fixed Income, Capital Markets, HR and Technology. The Investment Banks will accept applications from high calibre students who have or will achieve a minimum of a 2.1 degree. A numerical or finance based degree is not essential but desirable and relevant work experience or involvement with relevant extra curricular activities will provide an advantage. The paid internships last for a maximum of 12 weeks and do not guarantee full time employment however, the placement will help candidates refine skills suitable for the industry and generate relevant experience as well as accumulating solid business contacts. The Civil Service Summer Placement Scheme is a paid internship and lasts for a maximum of 8 weeks. There are approximately 60 placements available which are offered throughout the UK and within most government departments. For further details about the departments in the civil service and which areas may be of interest to you please go to www.diversity.faststream.gov.uk. During the placement you will be given a project which you will have sole responsibility for and will be invited to relevant training sessions. To be eligible for the scheme applicants must have a minimum of 2.2 in any degree discipline and have evidence of suitable work experience. The paid internships do not guarantee a place on the Faststream, however, the placement will help candidates refine skills suitable for the industry and generate relevant experience as well as accumulating solid business contacts. The Legal Sector Placements give candidates the opportunity to sit in the trainee seat and work alongside top city professionals. Interns will be involved with meetings, drafting minutes, court cases and preparing documents. Interns will be invited to appropriate company training and social events which may be taking place. The formal legal work placement is open to penultimate-year law students, final year non-law students and other relevant postgraduates or others who have satisfied the "academic stage of training" as required by the law society. Evidence of relevant work experience and extra curricular activities would also provide an advantage to candidates. The paid placements do not guarantee full time employment however, the placement will help candidates refine skills suitable for the industry and generate relevant experience as well as accumulating solid business contacts.
