I have been at Lane Clark Peacock for nearly five months, having graduated from Warwick University , and so far the time has raced by.  I originally applied to LCP to do a summer internship and I knew as I left the interview that I wanted to work for them.  I was immensely impressed with the people I met and the friendly yet ambitious nature of the company. The location of the office is incredible, amongst all the shops you could ask for and amazing bars and restaurants. 

I started my summer placement in July 2006, in the Pensions Actuarial Department.  The work was interesting and challenging from the start.  I was able to work on a wide range of clients, from very small to immense pension schemes and get a feel for the actuarial profession.  LCP is a great place to learn because you’re given a variety of things to do without being weighed down.  The team I was allocated to were so welcoming and sociable and there were many team outings in my short time there.

At the end of my internship I was offered a graduate position which I didn’t hesitate to accept.  After my nine weeks of experience I knew for certain that I wanted to go into the actuarial profession and that LCP was perfect.
