Trainees spend six months in four different seats gaining experience in a wide range of work across property, company/commerical, litigation and wealth management. Trainees sit with their supervisors and have the opportunity to take responsibility and to gain varied hands-on experience within a supportive and well-structured framework. Two-way appraisals are carried out every three months. There are also opportunities to spend time in our associated office in Brussels and on secondment with clients.

Who we recruit

We are looking for intellectually able trainees with good communication and teamworking skills fromany discipline. Both GDL and LPC fees are paid and financial assistance is available to all successful candidates. Successful applicants will understand the need to provide practical, commercial advice to clients.

Open doors

We have a reputation for our friendly culture and work/life balance. First names are used throughout and we operate an open-door policy. The culture we have is highly valued by the partners and policies that help to maintain it are strongly supported.

We are based on Newcastle's thriving Quayside and in the Tees Valley. Our York office is growing rapidly since we opened there in 2007 and the addition of an office facility in London adds to the services the firm can offer to its national clients. All of the offices are in friendly and vibrant cities offering opportunities to follow cultural and sporting pursuits as well as an excellent nightlife.
