At PKF we provide a full spectrum of accountancy and business advisory services to a wide variety of clients. We carry out work for companies of all sizes, from small family firms and start-up businesses to large organisations, and we handle many industry sectors including the public sector. Around the UK we have 23 offices. The UK firm is a member of PKF international, a network of independent firms with 400 offices in 119 countries.
For students, we offer a level of training and work experience that few of our competitors can match, coupled with a friendly, informal environment.
What you can expect
Right from the start you will be dealing with clients, working as part of a close-knit team. You will progress quickly from accounting work to audit and business advisory roles, gaining hands-on experience of a range of client companies.
While you study for your professional examinations, you will receive ongoing training so that you can put your studies into practice. Personal development courses are available to help you achieve the rounded skills required of today's business adviser.
When you join PKF, an introductory course will bring you together with other students from around the country. A dedicated partner in your local office will oversee your training, which includes appraisals twice a year to help you keep track of your progress.
Once you've qualified, your career progression is varied and full of exciting opportunities. We actively support internal movement and also promote personal development and skill-set expansion through exposure to new business areas.
What we're looking for
We need effective communicators who have good business sense and the ability to assimilate information rapidly. You should have a 2.1 degree or above (in any discipline) along with 280 UCAS points. However, non-academic achievements and personal qualities are also highly valued at PKF. If you are determined to succeed, get in touch.
