Your requirements
To meet changing client needs, we have developed a Fellowship programme. Its aim: to develop high-calibre management talent with work experience across, and an understanding of, a range of marketing disciplines. The programme is unique in its multidisciplinary approach and is designed to complement the recruitment activities of individual WPP companies.
Major brands include JWT, Ogilvy & Mather, Y&R, United, Grey, MindShare, Mediaedge:cia, Millward Brown, OgilvyOne, Wunderman, Hill & Knowlton, Ogilvy Public Relations, Burson-Marsteller, Cohn & Wolfe, CommonHealth, Enterprise IG and Landor among others.
Their specialist skills include advertising, media investment management, information, insight & consultancy, public relations & public affairs, branding & identity, healthcare, direct, digital, promotion and relationship marketing, and specialist communications: disparate disciplines with two common factors. They are all in business to contribute to the success of their clients. And they do so through a demanding combination of flair and slog; intuition and logic; left brain and right brain.
Your development
The first 12 months will be spent working in a WPP-sponsoring company, with a personal mentor assigned to provide overall career guidance. Thereafter, each individual will spend 24 months working in two other WPP companies, with each chosen on the basis of the individual’s interests and the Group’s needs. In concept, the multidisciplinary rotation is similar to the work experience offered by many leading management consulting firms. On completion of the three-year programme an appropriate position will be identified in the Group which takes advantage of the broad experience gained during the Fellowship period.
