Stimulating projects
I have always had a strong interest in HR consulting, and the factor that attracted me to Towers Perrin was its friendly and civilised culture. I am now a Consultant in the Executive Compensation & Rewards practice, London office. My department helps corporate clients with all aspects of executive rewards and remuneration. A project I particularly enjoyed involved the introduction of a broadbanded pay structure for a FTSE 50 company. I was involved in this project throughout its life cycle, from ‘drawing board’ to implementation. This meant an initial three-month period based at the client site, for two days each week, gathering essential data, followed by detailed financial modelling.

Global training
Training at Towers Perrin is very thorough, much of it delivered through the company’s own training arm, the Towers Perrin Institute (TPI). TPI courses are held at company offices throughout the world. For example, I completed my presentation skills training in Frankfurt, a sales compensation course in Chicago and will shortly be flying to Orlando to learn more about workforce effectiveness.
