Training and development

We are committed to on-going staff development and training. On-the-job training to acquire skills and necessary knowledge, and structured training courses tailored to your individual needs will be a regular feature of your working life.

Our training programme is designed to help you establish the technical, commercial and managerial competencies you will need as you take on greater responsibility. We believe strongly in giving new recruits early responsibility on projects backed up with training courses and access to and support from more experienced staff.

Application and selection

We only recruit the best-suited graduates and postgraduates from numerate and problem-solving backgrounds:

• Engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics and operational research disciplines (business, marketing or management modules are also valued).
• A minimum of a 2:1 degree class and 320 UCAS points (or their equivalents).
• As you will be working extensively with clients and in teams, you will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and team-working skills and the ability to develop your commercial competence.

We are also accepting applications for our student summer vacation placements from penultimate year students. Our placements are quite unique; self-contained, hands on and highly challenging projects with a real commercial application.
