Sainsbury’s is a leading FTSE-100 company and a very high-profile name in a fast-moving market. The success of our ‘Making Sainsbury’s great again’ review has seen the company’s profits rise by 40% and sales by more than 6.9%. And it doesn’t stop there …

Try something new today

Customers are experiencing a significant improvement in our offer. Price, product range, quality and service have all been subject to reviews: the 16m customers who now shop with us on a weekly basis are testament to their success.

The brand re-launch, with the slogan ‘try something new today’ has been a resounding success in re-establishing us in the hearts and minds of our customers. To build on this on this success we need a diverse group of exceptional graduates, able to bring fresh commitment, talent and ideas: bright people who love the buzz of retail and are hungry for success. Understanding how to get the right product on the right shelf at the right time, or how to create a 21st-century store is a challenge that the enquiring mind
will relish.

You should have instinct as well as intellect, personality as well as professionalism. A love of good food will help. Caring about quality is important. And an ability to work brilliantly in a team is a must.

Making a difference

Graduates will develop leadership qualities, gain practical business skills, and increase their capabilities through training. Handling real business issues alongside significant responsibilities provides the opportunity to make a real difference.

We have ten training schemes: buying; customer and marketing; finance; HR; IT; product development and technology; supply chain; commercial; property; retail and summer placements. You will have to decide which is right for you. In each scheme, a three to six-month store placement is an essential element to help develop a full understanding of how our different business areas impact the people at the heart of our enterprise: our customers.

To find out more about what makes a business like ours tick, visit www.sainsburys.co.uk/graduates and decide whether you have the drive and passion to join forces with Sainsbury’s.
