Graduates have summer opportunities, specialist suggests
Graduate jobs are available during the summer months but university leavers must be prepared to search in non-traditional places, one expert has claimed.
Chief Executive of the Work Wise UK initiative Phil Flaxton said that many former students may find employment in the not-for-profit sector.
He commented: 'The charity sector I know are always looking for good people they will take people on for a short term, one or two months, at a reasonable daily rate.'
Other possible places to find a job include IT vacancies - which are often in demand - with small and medium-sized enterprises, Mr Flaxton added.
Positions that enable employees to work remotely from any location also provide graduates with the ability to find jobs at a number of different organisations, he remarked.
According to the National Union of Students, many university leavers are being advised to be more innovative and flexible when considering the vacancies they apply for.
