GO Outdoors to create 1,000 jobs
There is some potentially good news for the graduate jobs market today (January 20th) as Sheffield-based retailer GO Outdoors announces it intends to open 30 new stores and create 1,000 new jobs over the next two years.
Since signing an £18 million refinancing package with the Bank of Scotland last spring, the company has opened five new outlets, reports The South Yorkshire Star.
It aims to to create 14 more stores by the end of June.
John Graham, Managing Director of the business, commented: 'We have big plans for GO Outdoors. The refinancing agreement with Bank of Scotland Corporate means we can now pursue a rapid controlled expansion plan.'
Each new store will sell a range of more than 20,000 products.
GO Outdoors claims to be the UK's fastest growing chain of outdoor superstores.
The company is seeking enthusiastic, responsible people and offers a competitive salary and 'unlimited' opportunities for career progression.
