Nottingham Trent helps secure global exhibition
A global art event is to be hosted by Nottingham, it has emerged.
The 2012 World Exhibition Event for Young Artists, will take place in the city immediately after the Olympic Games and may be of interest to art graduates.
Nottingham Trent University was fundamental in securing the bid to present the show in conjunction with the city authority and arts council.
Some 2,500 emerging artists from all over the world will showcase their work in a variety of the city's venues and creative spaces.
There will be fine art displays, as well as installations and performances.
It is thought the event builds on the success of the Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and Mediterranean, in which the university currently has eight graduates representing the UK at the show in Skopje and the Republic of Macedonia.
Meanwhile, Adrian Walters, the Geldards LLP Professor of Corporate Insolvency Law at Nottingham Trent's Law School was recently appointed as the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals Scholar for the Europe, Africa and Middle East Region.
