Atos Origin agrees deal with Munich Re
International IT services firm Atos Origin has agreed a new five-year contract with one of the world's leading insurance companies, Munich Re.
The deal, which is worth more than £13 million, will see Atos Origin developing and managing all IT systems and applications for Munich Re's UK operations.
Clive Everson, UK Head of Business Solutions at Munich Re, said Atos Origin offered a simple and more efficient solution to its business needs, adding that the new service 'provides us with the flexibility and control that we need to better manage risk, respond faster to changes in the marketplace and ensure compliance with new regulations'.
With a workforce of around 50,000 people across 40 countries, Atos Origin has annual revenues of 5.5 billion (£4.9 billion) and has an international client base of blue-chip companies across all sectors.
Recently, the enterprise won the 2009 Management Consultancies Association Award for helping to reduce NHS waiting times.
