Office workers advised to take a break
A human resources expert from The Urquhart Partnership has suggested that office workers ensure they rest properly during their summer holiday this year.
Stephen Seymour noted that some people may be tempted to take their laptops to the beach with them, but said that this can be detrimental to relationships, Online Recruitment reports.
Instead, he advised taking a break from the office and enjoying leisure time with friends and family.
'Rather than fretting over e-mails and deadlines, workers should take a well-earned break and then return to the office replenished and ready for business,' Mr Seymour said.
He added that UK employees work the longest hours in Europe - a claim supported by a recent Reed employment poll which found that eight out of ten workers regularly take a lunch break of less than half an hour.
