Dream job more important than pay?
Three-quarters of workers would jump at the chance to get a job of a lifetime, even if it meant they took a reduction in pay, a new survey has revealed.
According to research from Monster, 80% of employees in the UK would take a pay cut to enjoy a more fulfilling job, Online Recruitment magazine reports.
Following the release of the Monster Employment Index last week, the company questioned 2,229 people and found that only workers in Italy, Switzerland and Ireland would be even more likely to take a dream position for a smaller paycheque.
Managing Director of Monster UK and Ireland, Julian Acquari, was pleased to see that some Europeans understand that there are more important things than money.
He said: 'Finding the right job for someone is just as important as finding the right person for the job - it has to be a positive relationship for both the employer and employee.'
