Management graduate scoops top award
A graduate of management has been awarded a top prize by her former university, the University of Liverpool.
Anna Heyes founded marketing agency Active Profile in 2004 after leaving the University of Liverpool, and has now been presented with the Outstanding Graduate of the Year award by the institution, the Liverpool Daily Post reports.
'I'm thrilled the university decided to present me with this - it's strange, as it doesn't seem a second since I was studying for my degree at the Management School. It was there I had the initial encouragement to start Active Profile,' she said.
Ms Heyes also scooped the Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Northwest Women in Business Awards recently, organised by the Northwest Women's Enterprise Forum - the first region-wide event to celebrate the achievement of female business figures.
Director of the Management School Murray Dalziel said he is 'delighted' and 'thrilled' that a former student of the university has seen such success.
