    Pranks could boost office morale

Playing practical jokes in the office has been encouraged by one employment expert.

In the run-up to 1 April , General Manager of TheLadders, Sarah Drew, has told Online Recruitment magazine that good-natured antics could boost morale in the workplace.

Furthermore, Ms Drew noted that creativity in the workforce and the dynamics of the team could also be improved by such japes on April Fools' Day - a tradition that is named hunting the gowk in Scotland.

In fact, stress may also be dissipated by foolhardy antics, she added.

'When teams come together to create a prank, it encourages creativity, teamwork and gives the office a shared experience outside of the workload,' she stated.

Ms Drew commented that fun and games should always be present in offices around the UK because of the aforementioned benefits.

Popular pranks that office workers can play on their colleagues include unplugging computer keyboards and sending fake e-mails, she said.
