Bourne Business Consulting announces graduate success
Bourne Business Consulting has announced that its increased intake of graduates last year has been a success.
The company employed eight graduates to join its ranks in September 2007, which was a '100% increase' on last year's recruitment activity, Ian Mackie, Executive Partner at Bourne, told Online Recruitment magazine.
Mr Mackie explained that the graduates had undergone a series of tests at an assessment centre day and met people at different levels of the organisation.
Furthermore, he added, the graduates became involved in important work straight away.
'The trainees were involved in client work within the first two weeks of joining us and our emphasis on giving them the opportunity to be fully involved in interesting, practical work is one of the reasons why we're successful in retaining our staff,' he said.
Bourne Business Consulting is one company that is evidence of an increase in graduate vacancies that was predicted by the Association of Graduate Recruiters.
