Royal Navy appoints new Naval Secretary assistant
The Royal Navy has appointed Commodore DJR Dickens to the post of Naval Assistant to the Naval Secretary.
In its list of service appointments today, the Times revealed that the OBE winner will take up his new role from July 2009, replacing incumbent Commodore PH Robinson.
Also moving in August will be Colonel DCM King, who is to become Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff (Future Personnel) at Navy Command Headquarters.
The Royal Marine will succeed Royal Navy representative Captain SP Hardern.
Meanwhile, Captain ME Finney will take on the role of conduction language training from the start of next year. He will then be promoted to Commodore and replace Air Commodore Tizard as Deputy UK Military Representative to the European Union.
The Royal Navy is one of the UK's best companies for graduate jobs, according to the Times. It placed 70th in the publication's top 100 graduate recruiters list last year.
