Baker Tilly makes tax team appointment
A new addition has been made to the Manchester-based tax team of Baker Tilly.
The accounts and business services group has appointed Rick Schofield as tax director. He joins the firm from CLB Coopers, where he worked as a partner specialising in providing advice on mergers and acquisitions, corporation tax and tax due diligence.
In his new role, he will work alongside tax partners Colin Smyth and Colin Abrahams with the aim of helping the department to continue growing.
Mark Blakemore, Managing Director at the Manchester office, said it is an exciting time to be joining the company.
'Since the start of 2009 we've had some significant client wins and continued to develop a very healthy new business pipeline,' he remarked, adding that Mr Schofield will bring with him a wealth of specialist experience.
Last month, Baker Tilly clinched two wins at the Professional Pensions Awards - the Accountants of the Year Award and the Covenant Assessment Provider of the Year Award.
