Employers should communicate more, expert suggests
Companies looking to get the best from their employees should ensure communication is at a maximum, an expert advises. This is after a recent study by Aviva revealing 20% of workers are 'depressed'.
Business Link Adviser Alexandra Shoobert said: 'The key is communication. You need to keep your employees informed about any significant changes that are happening in the business to try to reduce uncertainty.' -

Firms need Non-Executive Directors, report suggests

Businesses are lacking well-trained Non-Executive Directors, one organisation has suggested.
A new report by Deloitte has revealed that firms may find it difficult to fill these roles due to high risks relating to the position and dissatisfaction over the wage structure.
Deloitte Head of Remuneration Carol Arrowsmith said: 'The knowledge and experience of the Non-Executive Directors can be of massive benefit to the company.' -

Graduate employer Accenture given accolade
Graduate jobs provider Accenture has been recognised for its achievements as a family friendly company.
Coinciding with its 30th birthday celebrations, Working Families decided to publish a list of the firms that have done the most to support working parents consistently over the last three decades.
And Accenture was among the 20 organisations to be chosen by the group's panel of experts, along with KPMG and Lloyds TSB.
