BP Collins still investing in training
BP Collins will continue to spend on training, despite the economic downturn, a senior manager has confirmed.
Jacqui Symons, HR Manager for the company, suggested that training remains significant for the firm even when factoring in the recession.
'[Training] is important, and I think it's important that it's not one of those things that is cut completely in difficult times', she said. Ms Symons went on: 'Our people are our assets, so it does have to continue'.
Training in the legal sector is of particular relevance she suggested, with firms constantly under pressure to keep up with changes in law.
She did admit that the company would focus on 'central training' specific to BP's requirements. This was to ensure that clients maintained a first-class service, while still accommodating for a stricter budget, she remarked.
BP Collins, which offers a number of summer placements for undergraduates, is a legal firm specialising in a broad range of services for individuals and organisations.
