RSS feeds advised for travellers
Gap-year students should plan ahead as much as possible, a travel company has suggested.
STA Travel has advised travellers to prepare as much of their year abroad as they can in advance of leaving the UK.
In fact, technology can help today's students have a much more efficient year abroad, a spokesperson for the company said.
'There are RSS live feeds that travellers can subscribe to via their mobile phone, which will keep them up to date with what's on when and flight offers - great content for the active traveller,' the spokesperson remarked.
Furthermore, travel insurance is essential for anyone heading abroad for any length of time, STA Travel warned.
It is important that travellers 'are covered for every eventuality wherever they are in the world,' the spokesperson added.
Around 32% of graduates decide to travel before embarking on a career, research by the Training and Development Agency for Schools revealed.
