Dodgy landlords to be named and shamed
Students at one university are to get the chance to speak out about the landlords of their rented properties, it has emerged.
A survey conducted by the St Andrews' Students Association will mean landlords with a poor track record will be outed.
The results of this year's worst landlords poll are not available, although the association is to write to all the local property agents warning them that next year's survey will be published in full.
A list of the top letting agents from this year's survey has been released, with Town & Gown coming top and receiving 100% positive feedback.
Inchdairnie Properties, Murray Donald Drummond Cook and Rollo Davidson McFarlane all scored above 50%.
Steve Savage told the BBC that all the landlords in the area will receive a letter telling them how they have fared.
'It is about raising the standard. There is always room for improvement,' he said.
'A lot of what we have heard before [about landlords] has been anecdotal.'
