Luxury student digs launches in Leeds
Recent Leeds graduates will have just missed out on a luxury new accommodation initiative to support current students living in the city.
The so-called Sky Plaza, which spans 37 floors, is the brainchild of student digs provider Unite, reports The Yorkshire Post.
It is due to open in September and many apartments have already been snapped up by students keen to take advantage of designer decor, a private lift and trendy American-style fridge freezers.
While rent costs up to £179 a week, Unite Operations Director Simon Jones told the news source that Sky Plaza's location and facilities more than make up for financial hardship.
He said: 'Sky Plaza raises the bar for student accommodation in Leeds.
'Residents will be able to enjoy stunning views of the city and luxurious contemporary living will come as standard, with all bedrooms from the 19th floor up boasting flat screen TVs, wood-effect flooring and leather seating.'
The new accommodation is a timely asset for Leeds University students as the institution's website notes the city is currently the fastest growing in the UK.
