Flexible lawyers tipped to survive increased competition
Those who are entering graduate careers in the legal sector should be able to thrive if they can adapt to increased competition, it has been noted.
According to Dominic Crossley, Spokesperson for Steeles Law, a loosening of regulation is likely to lead to institutions such as supermarkets offering certain services.
But he noted that the industry has already had to change over the last ten to 15 years and that lawyers should be able to use their expertise to their advantage. -

BMA criticises move to share patients data

The medical records of people in the UK could soon be shared with private companies, the British Medical Association (BMA) has said.
Under the new Coroners and Justice Bill, currently going through parliament, the Department of Health would be able to share information from NHS databases with other departments and organisations in the private sector. -

Two in five doctors support euthanasia, survey finds
Around 40 per cent of doctors now favour the legalisation of assisted suicide, new research has suggested.
The study by GP magazine, which may interest those aiming for graduate careers in the medical profession, found that many family doctors are coming round the opinion that a total ban on euthanisia in the not in the best interest of their patients.
