BBC to hold job interviews to fill Radio 2 post
The BBC is to hold media job interviews next week in order to find a replacement for former Radio 2 Controller Lesley Douglas.
Ms Douglas resigned from the radio station following the scandal involving Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross.
While Russell Brand also resigned following the incident, Jonathan Ross was suspended for three months and is scheduled to return on January 23rd.
Names linked to the job include the BBC Radio 1 Controller Andy Parfitt, though he has apparently ruled himself out of the running.
An industry insider told The Guardian newspaper: 'It is very unusual for the BBC to go outside of the corporation for this kind of job. But it is also unusual for the Deputy to get the job, Lesley Douglas being the exception to that rule.'
There are an array of jobs available at the BBC including Assistant Management Accountant, Broadcast Assistant, Media Planner and Content Researcher.
