Sir Alan's apprentices boost interest in sales jobs
Sales roles have become more popular with jobseekers since the start of the latest series of BBC One's The Apprentice, it has been suggested.
More people have shown an interest in the industry as many of the contestants on The Apprentice have a career based in sales, CV-Library stated.
According to Lee Biggins, the Director of the firm, job candidates for sales positions must ensure their CV is up to date.
'Companies are increasingly turning to job sites to headhunt potential talent, so if you're thinking of breaking into sales, the ability to sell yourself well in your CV could be your off-screen chance to land yourself that dream job,' he advised.
However, CV-Library said that despite being a 'potentially lucrative' career, sales is a 'cut throat' business.
Two of the four Apprentice finalists have left a career in sales to take part in the show; Alex Wotherspoon worked for Sainsbury's Energy as a Regional Sales Manager, while Lee McQueen was a Recruitment Sales Manager with the Capita group.
