IT applications increase reported
A rise in the number of people applying for jobs in the IT sector has been recorded by CV Screen.
The firm noted that the number of jobseekers looking for a position in IT increased by 17% over January and February.
Matthew Iveson from CV Screen noted that a rise in job applications had been matched by a boost in the number of jobs created in the sector.
'Despite fears surrounding the credit crunch, CV Screen registered a record number of IT jobs in February which is testament to our success and also a sign that the market is still buoyant in the early months of 2008,' he remarked.
According to Mr Iveson, confidence in IT jobs is high, in spite of the expected economic slowdown.
IT job applicants may be interested to hear that Firebrand Training recently told the British Computer Society that extra qualifications - such as the PRINCE2 in project management - could increase their salaries significantly.
