Jobseekers advised to use online recruitment sites
Jobseekers should look to use online resources in their quest to find a job, one recruitment specialist has advised.
Michelle Brown, Head of Communications for Monster UK and Ireland, remarked that there are added benefits of online recruitment websites that cannot be translated into traditional job-seeking methods.
'Online recruitment sites can expose a CV to hundreds of potential employers rather than a seeker having to approach employers one by one. This will greatly improve a jobseeker's chance of finding employment,' she stated.
She described the experience of being approached for a job as 'very positive.'
The popularity of job searching using the internet has increased with a recent report by Enhance Media finding that internet job-seeking has increased by 50% since 2006.
Furthermore, users of online recruitment websites 'can be headhunted no matter what job they are looking for,' Ms Brown said.
Advice, tips and support are additional features offered by online recruitment sites, she concluded.
