Leaders speak to graduate generation
Leading figures gave graduates an important insight into the business world at a new event held last week in London.
Generation 2 Generation saw four speakers from the world of business, politics and culture - including David Willetts MP and Baroness Sally Hamwee - discuss the future challenges of 21st century leaders.
Graduates and students of law, banking and consulting were told by Tim Cullen, a former spokesman for the World Bank and a director of Oxford's Said Business School, to embrace a strong ethical conscience and forge relationships through team-building.
Chief Executive Officer of Freshminds, Charlie Osmond, added that innovation and enterprise will continue to be nurtured by London's international community.
Alex George, one of the founders of the event and a recent graduate of the London School of Economics, said university leavers can use the event to 'fulfil their own potential as tomorrow's leaders.'
'We believe that young people at the start of their careers can greatly benefit from advice from today's established leaders which challenges, motivates and educates,' he stated.
Further talks by the group, which has been praised by Peter Sutherland KCMG, are to be held later in the year on topics such as the environment, entrepreneurship and politics.
