Online recruitment popularity grows
Job hunters are using the internet to find their perfect employment position over any other form of media, a new poll has revealed.
Conducted by Kelly Services, the survey of 115,000 people revealed that internet job-seeking is popular around the globe.
This follows a study last month by Enhance Media that discovered use of the internet to conduct job searches has grown by 50% from 2006.
The National Online Recruitment Audience Survey also found jobseekers use around four websites when on the lookout for new employment.
Kelly Services Country Manager, James Bowmer, remarked that job applicants and companies alike have 'embraced the internet.'
'People are now very confident about applying for jobs online while employers are becoming much more skilled at dealing with the online recruitment phenomenon,' he told the news source.
However, Mr Bowmer said that the internet is not a suitable shortcut for the appropriate assessment of job applicants.
