Newcastle University opens Malaysia campus
Students planning to enter graduate careers in medicine and biomedical sciences might be interested in the latest development at Newcastle University.
The institution is branching out with the opening of a new campus in Malaysia, at which students can take degree courses in said subjects.
A 13-acre plot has been set aside for the building of the faculty, which is hoped to help Malaysia in its goal of becoming an educational hub in Asia.
Professor Reg Jordan, Chief Executive of Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia, said the university is "delighted" to be part of the venture.
'Our new campus here in Malaysia will widen access to affordable UK education, extend Newcastle's global footprint and help to meet the University's mission to translate the outcomes of its academic endeavours for the benefit of society,' he continued.
Another university to have a campus in Malaysia is Nottingham University. The institution also has educational facilities in China.
