Unipreneur finalists announced
The top ten student entrepreneurs in the country have been announced by HSBC as part of its Unipreneur scheme.
One of the finalists is Alastair Lindsay, who, along with three other team mates, designed a website aimed at undergraduates, Get Bracknell reports.
The Loughborough University graduates established RMP Enterprise six months ago and created a website on which students can rate their placement years and internships.
Now the team faces the nerve-racking final event, held towards the end of April.
If RMP Enterprise manages to survive a live grilling from a team of panellists at the event then they could be in with a chance of winning the £20,000 first prize.
'These four are part of a new breed of young businessmen on the block who don't plan to use a good education making money for someone else - we call them unipreneurs and we are keen to support them,' Head of Banking at HSBC, Huw Morgan, said.
The National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship supports the scheme, which is connected to all 168 UK universities.
