Imperial College London agrees deal with Nexia
Imperial College London has agreed a new deal with Nexia Solutions to provide improved services to up-and-coming scientists.
The Memorandum of Understanding will mean the two institutes will team up to front research projects as well as provide placements for students.
Nexia, which has won the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents Research and Development Industry Sector Award for four years running, is to offer industrial experience to those studying materials science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and natural sciences as part of the deal.
Head of Imperial's Faculty of Engineering, Professor John Wood, commented that the top UK science graduates will be the ones to benefit from the agreement.
'This agreement lays the groundwork for our two organisations to work together on research projects and provide valuable industry experience for some of our country's brightest graduates,' he said.
Peter Bleasdale, Managing Director of Nexia Solutions, described the College as a 'world-renowned and prestigious centre for learning and research'.
